Robert "Bob" Strong, age 88, of Madison, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at Lantern of Madison. He was born September 11, 1928 in Geneva.

Mr. Strong had retired as a Vice President of Trans Ohio Bank in Cleveland. He was an avid golfer, a Cleveland sports and The Ohio State University fan, loved dogs and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He attended Miami University in Oxford and graduated from Geneva High School in 1946. Mr. Strong was a member of the Geneva High School Alumni association and he was a player/manager for the Geneva Oilers softball team.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Eve J. Strong; son, Scott (Darlene) Strong of Painesville Township; daughter, Cheryl (Kim) Nash of Madison; brother, Richard Strong; nephew, Jack (Jane) Sanders; nieces, Joyce Strong and Janice (Steve) Stanley; and cousin, Barbara (Dick) Turner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Arline Strong; brother, Gary K. Strong; and beloved golden retriever Dusty.

Inurnment at St. James Episcopal Church, Painesville.
