Shawn Eric Loase, born on July 25, 1972, passed away on April 28, 2024, at age 51. He was a beloved son, father, brother, stepfather and partner.

Shawn was a fun-loving and compassionate individual who brought joy and laughter to those around him. He was known for his helpful and caring nature, always ready with a joke to brighten someone's day. Shawn's humility and loveable personality made him a cherished member of his family and community. There really wasn't anyone who met him and did not instantly like him due to his charismatic personality.

Shawn obtained a degree in Criminal Justice from Lakeland Community College and Respiratory Therapist at Kent State University. In his career, Shawn served as a member of the Kingsville, Orwell, and Andover police departments. Additionally, he worked as a respiratory therapist, providing care to those in need, even traveling during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic.

Outside of work, Shawn found joy in his hobbies, which included his love for Jimmy Buffett's music, working on cars, fishing, boating, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He enjoyed as much time as he could having adventures with Ethan. He cherished these moments and valued the connections he made through shared experiences. He enjoyed his life living each moment to the utmost and loved including others in the shenanigan's.

Shawn is survived by his parents, James C. Loase and Jeanie A. Loase (Pienta), sister Dawn M. Hendricks and brother-in-law Scott Hendricks, his treasured son Ethan Loase, stepsons William Salsgiver and Devon Salsgiver, fiance Jessie Osborn, aunts Charlene Jackson, Norrice Pisarcik, uncles, Richard King, Lou Columbo, cousins, James Barnett, Deneen White (Barnett), Michael Jackson, Audrey Jackson, Tiffany Vargas (King), Jimmy Barnett, Alyssa Barnett, Tyler White, Chelsea Durkot (White) and many second and third cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Mary McElroy, grandmother Anne Dankovich, grandfather Harold McElroy, and aunt Diane Barnett.

A celebration of Shawn's life will be held, with details to follow. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
