Shirley Ann Mae "Shirl" Niewiadomski age 86 died Friday December 8th, 2023 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, Ohio. Shirley fought a brave and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer for the past three plus years. She fought with strength, grace, and determination never faltering in her faith in God. Shirley was the beloved daughter of William T. Evans and Ann Evans. She was born on November 1st, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA. Shirley was married to Thomas Niewiadomski and proudly raised two sons Timothy and Daniel. Shirley was a grandmother to Adam and Andrew and especially happy to be a great grandma to Aidan. Shirley worked at Universal Joint Service, a supervisor at Mayfran in Cleveland, and Kennametal in Orwell as an accounting payroll specialist. After her retirement, Shirley went on to become a small business owner selling crafts and antiques. She was hardworking and talented. She loved spending time painting beautiful artwork. Shirley had a gift for making her paintings come to life. Shirley was a resourceful mother who always put her children and family first. She loved flowers, her yard, gardening, line dancing, traveling and belonged to Red Hats Society and the FOE. She was always willing to learn new things and make new friends. Shirley was a devout catholic who attended church at St. Mary's Orwell and Sacred heart in Rock Creek. She is preceded in death by her parents William T. and Ann Evans, husband Thomas Niewiadomski, sister Ruth Carpentar and brother William Evans. She is survived by her sons Timothy and Daniel (Lorie) Niewiadomski, grandsons Adam and Andrew Niewiadomski, great grandson Aidan as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial mass officiated by Father Kevin McCaffery will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 103 N. Maple Street, Orwell, OH 44076.
