Virgil Roy Hare Obituary

Virgil Roy Hare, 75, of Sevierville passed away Monday, January 9, 2017. He was born July 24, 1941 in Ashtabula, Ohio. Virgil was a member of First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge. He was retired and had been ill for the last 4 and a half years. Virgil, even during his illness, accomplished many remodeling projects in his home. He was very talented in all things and excelled when it came to using his hands. Virgil had worked as a maintenance engineer and a mechanic. He had enjoyed flying as a pilot and locksmithing as hobbies. The love he had for his family will be cherished dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hare; mother, Lena Mitcham; sisters, Betty Carter, Leora Hunt, and Trudi Hare; and his brother, Raymond Hare. Virgil is survived by his wife, Carol Hare; daughters, Debbie Platt and husband, Ray, Penny Miller, and Denise Hare; grandsons, Brandon Muncy and wife, Heather, Zack Muncy and fiancée, Deanna LeGrand, Kyle Brand, Jacob Brand and wife, Kassi, and Logan Platt; great-granddaughters, Dakota and Avery Muncy; great-grandson, Hunter Muncy, and joyously expected great-grandson, Baby Boy Brand; special friends, Marcia and Charles Hathaway, Heidi Waldinger, and Dan Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge, P.O. Box 98, Pigeon Forge, TN 37868. The memorial service will be held at 6 PM Sunday, January 15th at First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge, 3290 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863.
