Ashtabula, OH - Wilburt "Red" Reed passed away on December 7, 2025 at age 86. He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, to the late Grace Stevenson and Francis Reed.

With a birthdate of April 1st, he was destined to become a jokester and loved to laugh with people and play practical jokes on his family and friends. He was known to cheat on board games!

Red proudly completed a tour in the US Army where he became proficient in driving a tank and was an expert-level marksman winning many awards. His hand-eye coordination also won him a perfect 300 bowling game with an 803 series!

Red labored hard as a cement finisher. He valued his land growing a large vegetable garden and taking nature walks in the woods during his spare time.

He is survived by wife Judy; daughters, Lisa (Eric) Heichel of Denver, Colorado and Vicki (Chris) Falton of Tampa, Florida; two grandchildren, Jillian and Olivia Heichel; brother, Daniel (Harriet) Reed; and sister Patricia Reed Mattocks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Rosella Reed Wagner, Thomas, Allen, Richard, and Milford Reed.
