William F. Johnson Obituary

William F. Johnson, age 89, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at David Simpson Hospice House. He was born January 4, 1936 in Oil City, PA to Theodore R. and Birdena (Mallory) Johnson. He married Marilyn Silves on February 12, 1955 in Oil City.

Bill was a 1953 graduate of Oil City High School. He owned and operated Golden Dawn Super Market in Geneva and Johnsons Pharmacy and also worked for Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance for 20 years. He was a former member of Geneva Rotary where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, and of Geneva Area City Board of Education for 13 years as well as a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneva. He also enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail (Al) Hogan; sons, John M. Johnson, David P. Johnson; 3 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; parents; and brother, Theodore R. Johnson, Jr.
